Burundi Bumba Honey

Blue Orchid is Huckleberry’s house espresso blend. We serve this coffee every day in our cafes, and it is designed to be approachable, both as espresso and as a brewed coffee, with and without milk. If you’ve ever had a great latte experience at one of Huckleberry’s cafes, Blue Orchid was the base.
While the Blue Orchid blend does change frequently, we try to maintain a sweet, full-bodied, chocolate and caramel flavor profile by using Central and South American coffees specifically chosen for those qualities. This is great tasting comfort coffee, and is a well-rounded crowd pleaser, especially if some of that crowd likes cream in their cup, or is still making the transition from darker roast profiles into specialty coffee. We love intense floral aromatics, but some mornings we just want the chocolate, toffee, and a bit of milk in our mug, and for those days, Blue Orchid is our go-to.
The current version of Blue Orchid is a blend of Brazil Sancoffee Cooperative and Peru La Higuera.

#facepalm ALERT: If you're looking at our new bags for brewing instructions, we noticed a mistake. 1:16 is a great ratio if you're brewing by weight, but if you're brewing by volume, the correct ratio is 1 tablespoon of coffee per 4 ounces of water, not 16 ounces.
The aeropress is extremely versatile, and you can look up different ways on the internet to brew coffee using this contraption. For this method, we mostly stick to the devices’ instructions. We use 2 filters instead of just one for a cleaner mouthfeel. Start a timer when you touch water to the grounds. Once all your water is added, stir for 10 seconds, then apply the plunger part to the main portion to create a vacuum and allow it to brew. Make sure to take everything off the scale before you plunge so you don’t ruin your scale. Start pressing gently at 2:00, aiming to finish by 2:30.
There are a lot of drip coffee makers out there in various sizes. The grind size you should use is dependent on how much you’re brewing, but generally, you’ll want to use a grind size that is considered “medium.” It will feel similar to beach sand.
